Slyde Stoke Ambassador Profile: Spencer McGrath

Help Slyde welcome its newest Stoke Ambassador, Spencer McGrath, to the lineup! Spencer is a 23-year-old Ventura native and senior at California Lutheran University majoring in exercise science.

"I have been bodysurfing my whole life, but really have started pushing myself in the sport the past three years," Spencer told Slyde. "My other passions in life are water polo and ocean lifeguarding."

During the summer, you can find Spencer lifeguarding at Ventura County and LA County beaches, and in the winter he takes to the pool deck to coach at Westlake High School and the Sharks Water Polo Club. Currently living in Thousand Oaks, California, his favorite beaches to bodysurf include Zuma Beach, Hollywood Beach, Silver Strand Beach and South Jetty in Ventura.

"On the bucket list is to go to Australia and bodysurf up and down the east coast," Spencer said. "Always looking for a new wave to ride."
