Saint Archer Slyde Handboards

A typical Tuesday in San Diego usually means 1 thing… Taco Tuesday!
A week day, that celebrates cheap tacos and tasty cervasas.

However, Tuesday June 2nd wasn’t just any standard taco Tuesday, thanks to the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association.

Shred the Lagoon was 5 hours of non-stop stoke.  Designed to get businesses with in the surf industry out the office and into the water by enticing them with endless supplies of
Wahoos Tacos, Saint Archer craft beers, and wake surfing. Needless to say it was an easy and much welcomed “bribe” for the Slyde Team.

As a newbie to wake surfing, it was killer experience to be learn from Pro Wakesurfer and High Performance coach Dominic Lagace while boating around in MasterCraft

It’s certainly not easy to wake surf and goes against every natural instinct of your body, but the fun is undeniable and super contagious.  Although, there was far was far from any shredding going on, on my part.  I did stand up and thrashed around for almost 30secs, which was good enough for me.

Of course no wave can go with a proper Slyde, so Steve got some solid hand plane action on the Lagoon as well.  Check out this epic video of Waking Surfing with a Handboard!

Yeooow!!! Go Shred this summer wherever the stoke takes you!
