Insane Wipeout at the Wedge!

Bodyboarder Alex Johnston got the ride of his life at the Wedge in Newport Beach, and it's cringeworthy.  The monster wave flung Johnston feet-first into shallow water, and his buddy, Robbie Crawford, was there to catch it all on video.  Talk about a mutant wave!  

While the Wedge is famous for its powerful shore break, this particular wave takes the cake.  The last place you want to be when you're riding is getting launched straight into sand!
