Paddleboarder Narrowly Misses Shark

1 min read

A paddleboarder caught a wave with a shark and he didn't even know it!  A drone video captured the rider shredding right over the top of a decent-sized shark and just barely misses it.  Too close for comfort.
This video comes on the heels of a shark attack in Manhattan Beach, CA.  50-year-old open-water swimmer Steven Robles was bitten in the chest by a 7-foot juvenile great white shark when the shark became agitated after thrashing for 30 to 40 minutes on a fisherman's line.  Robles grabbed the shark's nose and pushed it away from him to escape.  Fishing at the Manhattan Beach Pier has been banned for 60 days, and the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is pushing to ban fishing permanently.
