"The ocean can give you everything, and take everything in seconds." The first time I tried surfing was in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. On a big blue foam board in 1-2 foot waves, my surfing obsession took shape. The Jersey Shore holds epic memories for my family and me. Now, living out on the West Coast, it's challenging to comprehend the devastation and destruction of Hurricane Sandy. Stats like $63 billion dollars in damage fail to evoke any real depth of understanding. The short film East Coast Rising - A Surfer's Tale of Hurricane Sandy, made Hurricane Sandy human and real. I invite you to check out the film here and help our surfing mates rebuild.
