We have done a post in the past about the Surfrider Foundation’s ads before, albeit in a different light. Today, we look at the five best images/advertisements (in our opinion obviously). Whatever your opinion on which ones you think do the best job, you have to admit they are very provocative and really get the point across! The cause is very close to us here at Slyde.
We try our very best to support and volunteer as much as we can to keep our oceans and beaches as clean as possible. In light of the very recently celebrated International Surfing Day, an event organized by the Surfrider Foundation to help keep the ocean and beaches clean, we take a look at some of the better marketing images behind their campaign. As far as I could find out, Saatchi & Saachi LA was the advertising company behind the ad campaigns. Check out the images below and give us a nod on what ones you like!
I think the images in the campaign are so successful in creating the connection on a personal level. There is very little that will compel people to make a difference than making them realize that their own mortality is on the line. The image above succeeds at this in particular, for obvious reasons. This particular image is right on point.
Again, with this Image the destruction of ocean pollution is realized on a very personal level. I think this has to be targeting parents. A very powerful message!
I think the images in this particular campaign are focusing on the effect pollution has on you personally. In the past, images of wildlife were used to convey the message. I think these are far more thought-provoking.
As a surfer, just imagine this! Need we say more?
These constitute five of our favorite Surfrider ads. They all have an exceptional message and we think they all do an amazing job of getting the message across in no uncertain terms! A big thanks goes to the Surfrider Foundation and their continual efforts to help clean up our ocean!
