San Clemente California is the southernmost Orange County beach city, lying midway between Los Angeles and San Diego, and boasting some of the West Coast's most premier surf spots.

With nearly 42 miles of epic coastline passing through the seven cities of Orange County, there's a variety surf/bodysurf breaks to choose from, and Slyde's hometown of San Clemente tops our list.

If you're looking for a high-performance, consistent, reliable surf, the iconic wave of T-street or Trafalgar Street is a stand out break. Just a 1/2 mile south of the San Clemente pier, the exposed beach & reef breaks offers up ideal conditions, especially in the summer months.

And Slyde anticipates Saturday June 22nd will be the ideal day to cross this legendary wave of your bucket list.  We're soo stoked to announce, that we've gained access to host the first bodysurfing/ handboarding competition ever at T-street. Slydefest 2019 is gonna be one for the books, as we'll have this break all to ourselves!

T-street in San Clemente, was early stomping grounds for many professional surfers of the 1980s.  Notably, surf pioneer Martin Potter, who inspired a crew of groms, including Matt Archbold and Christian Fletcher here and took surfing to new heights with insane aerials.  T-street is the breeding grounds for bodysurfing, surfing talent. Including, one of the best high school surf teams in the nation, San Clemente High School Surf Team, who can be seen here practicing through out the winter months.

FUN peaks prevail here, and are ideal during south swells, with clean lefts and rights.

The SlydeFest Charity Handboard Competition is going to be an awesome community event, and we are sooo stoked for you to join us.

All proceeds from the event go to A Walk On Water: Surf Therapy to children with special needs or disability.
