Sean Enoka founder of Kaha Nalu Hawaii is on a journey to promote Hawaiian bodysurfing and perpetuate the island's heritage and traditions.

Sean is well respected bodysurfer both locally and internationally, and shaper of the Slyde Bulaboard

Here's what happened prior to Slyde x Kaha Nalu Hawaii's epic partnership.

"I first heard of Slyde back in an earlier stage, not sure about the year but the board was the Wedge, the main board had the wood inlay look and there were other designs of graphics that were pretty cool on the graffiti vibe. I checked out the website and all that, and was impressed with how much work Steve had put into it. The website was current, updated and it was clear that there was true passion for riding waves, and a drive to do the work that needed to get done.

Fast forward to the Slyde Ambassador program and Taylor Char, I got a chance to really look at the boards because Taylor was chosen as the Hawaii Slyde Ambassador and I surf with him and his dad daily when there's waves at panics.

Then while trying to keep up with crafting our own Hawaiian Bula shapes by hand, I saw Slyde Hardboards passion and ultimately the quality of manufacturing, one board is going to last you forever if you take care of it. And that was the coolest part, I had an idea for a collaboration and reached out, flew over to start it off and the rest is history !! Mahalo to Steve and Angela for helping to get my vision of a Hawaiian style board straight from Point Panic out to the world. Mahalo Mahalo Mahalo"
