Newly Announced URT Bodysurfing & Handboard Competition Sept Coronado California

If you haven't been to an URT Bodysurfing/Handboarding Womp Competition now is the time!

These guys throw a super fun events, and haven't done one of this caliber since 2016.  Contest will take place Sunday Sept 16th, and located on Coronado Island on North Beach, just south of the dog beach.

This wave delivers serious womp action when a south swell is delivering, so keep your fingers and fins crossed. Slyde Handboards is stoked to be a sponsor for the event, with all proceeds going to One More Wave. 1MW makes custom surfboards for veterans tailored to their injuries, they do a bunch of good for the warriors of our great country.

There will be four divisions. 
1. sqURT (ages 7-14)  Starts at 830AM
2. Open Men (all ages)  Starts at 830AM
3. Open Women (all ages)  Starts at 830AM
4. Handplane (all ages) Starts at 12PM

Prizes and trophies will be given to the top three finishers in each division. Everyone who signs up will receive a URT WOMP event shirt as well as a contestant goody bag, we are working hard to also get everyone a free breakfast burrito. 

Depending on the surf URT will bring back Rule #8 "King/Queen of the Island." A floating island in the ocean, where you wrestle like seals pre-session. Last person to remain on the island scores big.
