We love that there’s a slew of you out there amped to represent Slyde on land and in the water. We’re always talent scouting to see who’s shredding what, and appreciate every #slydehandboards you throw up online.

We ask all Slyde brand ambassador applicants the question
"Why do you want to be a Slyde Ambassador" and below are 8 thoughtful responses that earned these ambassadors acceptance letters.

Max Voici of Huntington Beach, CA

"I was a Bolsa Chica JG and I started using the Wedge that they had there. That night I told my Dad about the Handplane. He thought about brands then he said the best was by Slyde, after that everyday we would bodysurf. Before the season was over we said for our B-Days we wanted handplanes, so 2-3 weeks after that we got our Slydehandboards. Once we got them we felt a rush of excitement and our new passion of bodysurfing begun. I love your products and hope to be an ambassador.

Toby Streamer of NSW Australia

"I feel like I want to be apart of your community, you guys are amazing with the helpful emails that you send out.  As well as your handboards are the best, I have been bodysurfing for a while now and I have tried out many handboards and you can't beat the quality and performance of your handboards. I just want to show people how good your products are and get some more people into body surfing."

Michael Girard of Valley Village, CA

"The ocean and water has always been a part of my life, but recently Slyde has helped me connect with my family and make new friends. Living the #slydehandboards lifestyle is very fitting for me! I go multiple times per week and have become very passionate about your company and the community that follows."

Didier Cayet of Cahors France

"I grew up un the Caribbean, I tried bodyboard, now i live in the South of France and during the summer I practice surf at à beginner level near Lacanau. I tried bodysurfing 3 days ago and it was a revelation it's Amazing, and it makes me very happy and zen."

Spencer Asofsky of Bay Shore, New York

"My name is Spencer Asofsky, I'm 14 years old and I want to become a Slyde Ambassador. I want to be an Ambassador because I want to help grow the Slyde community. Not many people here on Long Island know about your company and the products you make and I want to get the word out.

I thought if I was an ambassador, I could help people learn about Slyde boards through social media or even a simple conversation. I actually own one of your Handboards and I absolutely love it!! One day when I was at the beach while using the Slyde phish model, one of the lifeguards stopped me and asked to see my board.

He couldn't believe how nice the craftsmanship was and he said he's never seen anything like this before. My friends tried my board that day too and one of them actually got the Grom model! I feel like more and more people here on Long Island could get into body surfing with the help of your Handboards and this is why I want to be a Slyde Ambassador.."

Parker Ferguson of Medina, WA

"My buddy just introduced me to Slyde Handboards few weeks and I've been stoked about since. I'm from Seattle, WA and the bodysurfing community isn't super big so I want to bring it out to the Pacific Northwest. I go to college in California and am absolutely pumped to improve my game in bodysurfing. Would love to be on the team!."

Marcel Mazahreh  OF Sewell, New Jersey

"I would like to be a Slyde ambassador because when I don't feel like lugging my 6 foot surfboard to the beach I just use your product. I love your product and bring it with me every time I go on the beach. I surf 🏄, wrestle, do jui-jitsu, and play football but most of all I love being in the water."

Bruno Depetriconi of Campbell, California

"I have been in the ocean my whole life and want to share the stoke of being a waterman with others. Many, many people aren't aware how accessible the ocean is for everybody, and bodysurfing is one of the best ways to get to know it. Although I haven't delved into water specific video work, I have worked in extreme sports videography for almost a decade (skydiving and BASE jumping - there is a good chance you have seen my work in videos). Traveling and competing around the world helped me hone my skills in extreme sports multimedia."
