More than twice the number of small businesses took part in Amazon Prime Day compared with 2015, and many of them can't wait for next year, including Slyde Handboards.

Slyde Handboards was stoked to take part in this massive shopping frenzy, as a part of the Mark Cuban Exclusive Collection.

Amazon, the e-commerce giant debuted Prime Day last year as a one-day sale exclusively for members of its Prime subscription shopping service. The company’s goal is to create a new shopping holiday similar to Black Friday.

"The company's sales were around six times what it makes in a typical day on Amazon" says Slyde co-founder Angela Watts told Inc. Magazine in the feature titled
"Small Businesses: Amazon Prime Day Crushed Black Friday Sales"

So what makes Prime Day different on Amazon from every other day?
To participate in Prime Day, businesses had to offer steep discounts of at least 20 percent and provide $5,000 worth of inventory.  This means epic sales for Amazon Prime customers and increased revenue for small businesses.

According to analysis of U.S. Amazon, sales on July 12, 2016 were up 50% from Amazon’s inaugural Prime Day. It was the biggest U.S. sales day ever, surpassing Cyber Monday 2015 (the previous high water mark) by 19%.

If it's up to Amazon everyday can be a holiday!
