Crashing waves, fun beaches, exciting people, and cheap liquor – that’s what everyone thinks Goa is all about!  But there is so much more this beautiful state!

The beautiful waterfalls, hidden lakes, the finger-licking local food and Water Sports are just a few of the other fantastic things that Goa has to offer. With the peak season setting in, this article will focus on the Water Sports in Goa that will turn you into an adrenaline junkie!

Surfing for Beginners

While surfing may seem like a tough thing to do, in Goa, you can take surfing lessons as a beginner. There are multiple surfing schools, which would be happy to teach you the art from scratch. Trust us when we say this, you will get comfortable with the waves before you know it!

Where to try this water sport? There are many surfing schools in Aswem Beach in Goa. The instructors are highly professional and most of them come from to Bali. Arambol and Agonda Beach are also on the list. The charges are on an hourly basis. Evaluate your budget and pick out the services accordingly.

Banana Rides for Groups

Go crazy! The banana boat ride is not as smooth as it seems. You must know that banana boat rides are quite popular in Goa. The inflatable boat is shaped like the banana fruit, and it can accommodate up to 6 people.

If you are going in a group, you must try the banana boat ride. Don’t you worry about a thing! You will be provided with life jackets, and the professional instructors would make sure that you stay safe! But, the whole fun of doing this sport is actually falling off the boat and into the water.

There are many water sports operators, and you can book it ahead of time. However, bookings are not necessary as you can visit Goa and do all the adventure bookings there as well.

Scuba Diving at its BEST: Meet the Fish

Get up close with the marine life and try scuba diving. Go beyond snorkeling because the diving experience changes your whole perspective towards life.
If you wish to try scuba diving, you can visit the Grand Island, Pigeon Island, Netrani Island, and Devagh Island. We would suggest you start with Grand Island. It is considered to be an ideal place for beginners.

For Scuba diving, you must carry up to INR 5,000-6,000 for the experience.

Parasailing in Goa: Talk to the Wind

Goa is meant for trying all the adventure water sports. If you are in Goa, you cannot miss the experience of parasailing. You will be up and close to the wind! Gliding over the Arabian Sea like a bird is a beautiful feeling. It is comparatively easy for beginners and offers you a beautiful view from the top. Plus, the instructor will be with you meaning your life would be in safe hands.

Takeaway Advice for Adventure Seekers

Apart from all the water sports mentioned above, there are so many other sports that you can enjoy in Goa as well. There is jet skiing, water skiing, bumper boat, and windsurfing, white water rafting, and kayaking. Once you are in Goa, you would never want to go back because it captivates an adventurer.

Once you are done with all the water sports, just relax with a beer at a shack or go explore the Anjuna night market. Goa is the best place to relax and unwind. Life gets busy and competitive, but visiting Goa shall refresh your mind and body. Trying water sports will add another exciting memory to your Goa experience.
