In Case You Missed It: Jordy Smith's Perfect 10

1 min read

Just in case you didn't get a chance to catch the J-Bay Open last week, South African surfer Jordy Smith wowed the local crowd by scoring a perfect 10 on his first wave in the 4-6 foot surf.  Smith won the even when it was held at Jeffreys Bay three years ago, before it was taken off of the tour.  Now that it's back as a stop on the ASP World Tour, it's clear that Jeffreys Bay is a favorite of Smith's.
Unfortunately, since the hometown favorite was eliminated in his later round against American surfer CJ Hobgood, Smith will have to bring his perfect 10 performance back to J-Bay for the next World Tour.  It has been forecasted that Jeffreys Bay will see the largest swell of the winter season on Saturday, July 19th.
