Announcing Copa Slyde: Chile Bodysurfing & Handboarding Contest

South American winters are heating up as Copa Slyde Handboarding Competition hits the coastline of Iquique, Chile.

On Sunday August 27th 2017 our friends at Achike Fresh Handplanes Bodysurf host the 2nd date of the local Chilean handboard circuit.  This time at Playa Cavancha in North Chile, best known for beautiful beaches and big closeouts.

"Bodysurf 'primitive life and unique style' Because we are monkeys, nomads by nature, we will continue to travel along the shores of the Iquique sea in search of sustenance, joy, healthy competition and fun. This time we transported to an incredible place called Cavancha beach: La Punta. A place that dazzles at all levels. Where generations of world titles emerge, honoring its name: Land of Champions.

If they thought that the celebration of the Iquique years of bodysurfing had ended, they were wrong. On the occasion of our days of life, we united with more strength than ever before to do something we had not done before, and to reinvent the things we had already done thanks to the experience gained.

The beginning of a new period of the national bodysurf begins on
Sunday, August 27, 2017 with the launch of the Slyde Cup in Iquique chile.

Tournament Mode:
Time series, can vary from 10 to 15 minutes depending on the number of competitors. The maximum number of waves to take is 10 waves.

The modality of competition will be 1vs1, healthy competition between two participants in the sea. There is the possibility that the modality varies in the first series, depending on the number of competitors.

Open enrollment . Value $ 10,000 pesos per category.
Both categories: 15,000 pesos. 

For the Slyde Cup Handplanes category, the well-known Slyde Handboards will be available. Models The Grom, The Wedge, The Bula for Mandatory use.
