Boards for the Huntington Beach Junior Lifeguards

These are five of the coolest groms we have ever met.  It was Mathew’s birthday, and we delivered his brand new Envy Board to his front door!  Here he is with four of his mates, all super stoked to be rocking Slyde in Huntington Beach. These guys are the future!

Honestly, it was an absolute honor to see how much fun the kids were having on their boards: 250 kids all getting wet and having a blast in the shore break.  At one point, I had ten kids around me, asking how they could get into bodysurfing and get themselves their own handboards. Bodysurfing, and especially handplane surfing, is breaking new boundaries in all areas, but particularly bodysurfing in Orange County California and Huntington Beach are seeing a huge increase in the sport.  If Slyde Handboards has even a small impact on a kid going out into the water for the day instead of playing on a Play Station, we will be beyond stoked.

He decided it was time for a a degree. Steve Graduated from Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London with a degree in product design. He missed his graduation to go surfing in Californian, found a kindred spirit with Venice and never left
