Winter Storm Hercules Slams France

1 min read

After the United Kingdom's swells took a pounding, Winter Storm Hercules moved its monstrous barrels south to the coast of France, where wave faces topped out at upwards of 60 feet in the Bay of Biscay.  At Belharra Reef, nearly 1 mile offshore from French Basque country, Australian surfer Jaime Mitchell attempted to hitch a ride on one of these winter storm giants, only to get his solid beatdown captured on video, courtesy of Vincent Kardasik.  It looks like it really stung, but good on Jaime.  Lord knows if any of us here at Slyde would be brave enough to try that.
