Hawaiian Ryder Taylor Char Pyramid Rock Bodysurfing Champs
Hawaiian Slyde Team Ryder Taylor Char got a chance to show the Hawaiian Islands his bodysurfing skills this past weekend at the 8th Annual Pyramid Rock Bodysurfing Championships.  The event brought bodysurfers from all over Hawaii to Pyramid Rock Beach on Marine Corps Base Hawaii on the Hawaiian island of Oahu to compete for glory, and the top six finishers in each age category were presented awards.  Conditions were fantastic, the waves were pumping and Slyde's own Taylor Char placed in the top three in the men's 18 and Under Division semifinal heat.  Ultimately, Char ended up placing 6th in a hotly contested 20-minute heat for the 18 and Under final heat.  Congrats to Taylor for representing Slyde and spreading the stoke to the fierce competition at Pyramid Rock Beach!  All proceeds from the event are benefiting Wounded Warriors, a foundation for fallen and injured military members.
