August is action packed with a Bodysurf contests basically every weekend.
If you thought summer was on it’s way out, think again it’s just getting started #GetStoked.

CHUBASCOS BODYSURFING & HANDBOARD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Saturday Aug 8th & Sunday Aug 9th
Huntington Beach, California

The Chubascos Bodysurfing Association was formed in the 1980s as an organization to promote the sport of bodysurfing through participation and competition. The name Chubasacos drives from a Spanish word which translates into a heavy shower. 

Raining down on HB, the original members were coaches, swimmers and friends on the Cerritos Aquatic Club. 

Nearly 200 members have competed in various competitions, while over 500 members have enjoyed the joys of bodysurfing.

The contest also includes a Handplane Competition &  a Tandem Competition.

NORTH BEACH – IN FRONT OF TOWER 5 (SOUTH OF DOG BEACH)

URTis more than just the bark of sea lion, it’s the bridge between land and water.
This EVENT IS FOR EXPERIENCED SWIMMERS ONLY*** FINS ARE REQUIRED***

This elite bodysurfing competition hosts it’s 5th year, showcasing some of the best Wompers in the universe.

Angela Ferendo of Slyde Hardboards will be a  guest judge at the contest.

World Bodysurfing Championships 2015 Saturday August 22nd and Sunday 23rd Oceanside, California

In it’s 39th year the World Bodysurfing Championship are one of the most anticipated bodysurf events of the year. 

Approximately 350-400 bodysurfers from around the world compete in their respective age divisions for trophies and prizes.

We’re stoked that Slyde Ambassador Mike Bakerwill be make the journey all the way from 
New Zealand (thanks to the monetary support of friends & family) to compete!
A waterman for over 47 years, we’re amped to see him charge the Pacific.
