Ocean Park Surf Contest

The contest is scheduled for July 27th and 28th on Ocean Park Beach in Santa Monica, and will have around 75 contestants. 

Santa Monica has a rich history in surfingand skateboarding, and we expect 500 - 1000 supporters and spectators over the contest weekend.

Last year’s comp was awesome and as you can see from the images, there was a bodysurfing event too.... sweeet!  If the waves play it right, it can be a great day of surfing down there and the spot is pretty much where the infamous Zboys used to surf through the broken-down Ocean Park Pier that was destroyed by fire.

There is a ton of surf and skate history tied to this region, and you would be missing out if you stayed at home.  Last year, I got to meet one of my heroes and an all-time great, Jeff Ho. So get down there and support your local surf contest!
