A free, full day of music and the arts in Windward Plaza Park, Saturday, May 12, 2012

The second annual Venice Spring Fling will kick off springtime at the beach in Venice with a free, full day of art and music in Windward Plaza Park on Saturday, May 12, 2012. Live music will be performed on the Ocean Stage from 11am - 7pm. Windward Plaza Park is at the west end of Windward Avenue, between the boardwalk and the bike trail in Venice, CA, 90291. 

An offspring of the highly successful and locally loved Venice Beach Music Fest, the Spring Fling continues the tradition of bringing the artistic Venice community together in a celebration of the historical creative spirit of the beach!

The lineup for 2012 is still yet to be announced. Last year's bands included: Tracii Guns’ Bastard Blues Band featuring Tracii Guns (Guns N Roses, L.A. Guns), Al’s Peace, Mother Jones, Tone Def, Hi-Stereo, Meet Me at the Pub, and Venrez. This year's free day of music and art will also feature dancers from American Tribal Style (ATS), Bellydance and Drums Troupe and Ya Harissa Bellydance Theater.

The accompanying art show in 2012 features paintings, sculpture and photography from local and international artists. Third Eye Tie Dye and Eclectic Hoops will also be on display and for sale. Music and art by festival participants can be previewed online by visiting This free community event is made possible through the generous sponsorship of local businesses including: Venice Beach Suites and Hotel, Venice Neighborhood Council, The Sidewalk Cafe, Venice Boardwalk Association, Third Eye Tie Dye, Venice Paparazzi, Animal House and Fresh Brothers Pizza.
